We were all born for a reason, and although I was a business woman for most of my adult life - I just know I have found my reason in retirement .... to be creative!

2013 ... it is almost New Year's Eve here in South Africa! What a time to start a new Blog! I hope this year that I can share my passion of crafting through this blog, and that others may be inspired to create.
Welcome to my crazy world! I may be a retired farmer’s wife, but I’m far from being put out to pasture. I’m a total nut who loves life. The following farmy things keep my life hectic: 8 dogs; 101 birds (budgies, rosellas, ringnecks, lovebirds); my African Grey, Raul (my favourite pet). Over 220 Santa Gertrudis cattle and 300 Black Headed Dorper sheep I leave to my husband, along with 100 hectar of mielies, 500 tons of tomatoes, 10000 peach trees of varied cultivars and all the other yummy crops he decides to grow. Throw children, grandchildren, siblings and parents into the equation and retirement is a foreign word I’ve yet to understand. But I’m absolutely crazy about my family – they’re the glue that holds me together. In my spare time I love playing with digital photos, music and DVD’s. Give me new programmes for photos and music and I’m in heaven. Finally, in all the hubbub
of life, I find time to spend with my new husband. “Dankie, skat (thanks, honey) for the wonderful memories – you’ve turned the dark shadows of yesteryear into bright tomorrows. But have the last four years of breakfast and lunch feastings made me more woman than you can handle?”
